About
Edmond Lou is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and an Adjunct Professor in the Departments of Surgery, Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Alberta. He has been the head research scientist of the Edmonton Scoliosis Research Group since 200, and the principal investigator of the Artificial Intelligence Supercomupting Hub at the University of Alberta since 2018. Dr. Lou has been highly productive in research, outputs with 150 peer refereed journal articles and 200 conference proceeding papers. He was granted 7 US patents for his inventions.
Research
His research is interested in the areas of low-power wireless embedded systems, instrumentation, sensors, IoT, ultrasound imaging and Artificial Intelligence.
